The Research & International Office offers on-line search tools to assist faculty, students and staff to access and search for funding.
Faculty can look for funding from an LIU networked computer through SPIN. Faculty may also search federal funding sources directly through www.grants.gov. The Research & International Office will assist you to interpret results and match your ideas to the funding agency. Questions about preparing to write a competitive proposal should be sent to Alan Gertler or Jared Littman.
LIU has a process for submitting a proposal. The proposal chart outlines this process and faculty should pay careful attention to deadlines and timelines to ensure a competitive submission.

LIU offers 3 types of seed grants. An annual call is scheduled for release in the fall 2019.

“DISCOVERY” Goal: Scale up relationships leading to multidisciplinary and international research emphasis area priorities for LIU
