National Association for Black Accountants (NABA)

National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)

Join a group of students with similar academic and professional interests in accounting who strive to promote group identity, advance academic development, create esprit de corps, instill desire for self-improvement, foster moral and ethical standards, encourage and recognize academic achievement, cultivate a sense of professional and civic responsibility and service, promote the study of accounting and provide opportunities for association with other student organizations. The specific goals of NABA are to cultivate and to develop the technical skills of its members while assisting students in familiarizing themselves with the accounting curriculum; to provide opportunities for members to fulfill civic responsibilities; to develop cordial relationships among members and cooperative relationships with other students; to ensure long-term financial stability and to provide adequate resources for implementing chapter programs; to represent the interests of current and prospective minority accounting students; and to market the Association to its members.
